The short answer

Metricool is a tool for reach across many channels: Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, Bluesky, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile and your own blog, plus ads on Facebook, Google and TikTok. It schedules, measures and reports.

kontiqo covers three channels - LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram - and concentrates on the step before: turning your thought into a post that sounds like you.

The question the decision hangs on is not "which tool does more". It is: is your problem distribution or writing?

Where Metricool is clearly ahead

We say this first, because it is true.

  • Channel coverage. Twelve channels against three. Anyone active on TikTok, Pinterest or YouTube needs Metricool or something like it - kontiqo cannot do that.
  • Ad analytics. Facebook Ads, Google Ads and TikTok Ads in the same interface. kontiqo has nothing to do with that.
  • Client reports. PDF and presentation reports, custom templates, a Looker Studio connector. If you report to clients monthly, it is ready-made there.
  • A free plan. kontiqo does not have one.

What matters about the free plan

It cannot do LinkedIn. In their own words on the pricing page: "Manage all your brands' social networks (except LinkedIn and Twitter)" (retrieved 21 September 2026). In the feature table, the LinkedIn row is empty on the free plan; LinkedIn starts with Starter.

So for anyone wanting to become visible on LinkedIn, the free plan is not an entry point but a different product.

The line that shows the difference best: AI on credits

Metricool's AI assistant runs on a credit balance per brand and month (pricing page, retrieved 21 September 2026):

  • Free: 5 credits per brand per month
  • Starter: 20 credits
  • Advanced: 35 credits

In kontiqo, text creation is not a credit balance in the same sense but a monthly allowance per plan: 60 AI text actions on Basic, 120 on Pro, 240 on Business. Every call counts: a post you refine once and adapt for a second channel uses three of them. And speaking itself does not count against your allowance - what counts is the text generated from it.

That is not a judgement but a question of architecture. At Metricool the AI is an addition to a scheduling tool. At kontiqo it is the path on which the post comes into being.

What it costs - and a note on currency

On our visit from Germany on 21 September 2026, Metricool's pricing page quoted in US dollars, and in that visit it could not be switched to euros. We cannot say whether that is the case everywhere and permanently.

So dollar figures are what you see here. We do not convert them: the exchange rate on your payment day is not ours, and a converted figure in a comparison table would be a claim about a price we do not know.

Anyone paying in euros carries two things themselves on a dollar-denominated subscription: the exchange rate and possibly a foreign currency fee from their card. That is not a complaint - it is a line that belongs in a cost calculation.

What kontiqo puts at the centre

  • Turn a voice note into a post that carries your word choice.
  • Learn your writing voice - from your published posts, your rewrites, your discards. Kept separate per channel, and strictly from your own account.
  • Apply channel-specific rules while writing - each channel gets its own version.

Where kontiqo is not the right choice

If you work more than three channels. If you analyse ads. If you need monthly client reports. If you manage several brands separately.

In all four cases Metricool is the better fit, and it is good at what it does.

When these prices were checked

All prices in this post were verified on 21 September 2026 on each provider's own pricing page - that retrieval date sits next to every source below. Pricing pages change; if you are subscribing today, check the figure there.
