What changes

When you connect a service in kontiqo, you now first see a text answering three questions:

  • Which data is processed?
  • What for?
  • How do you get out again?

Only then comes the button that makes the connection.

Why no box is pre-ticked

A pre-ticked consent is not consent. That is not just our opinion, it is settled law - and you still see it everywhere.

With us the box is empty when you see it. If you do not look and do not click, nothing happens.

Revocation sits next to it, not deep in the settings

This is the part most providers do worse than the consent itself: agreeing is one click, withdrawing is a search.

In kontiqo, every connected application shows how to disconnect it - in the same place where you connected it. One click and the connection is gone, together with the stored access tokens.

What this means in practice

Each of these services sees something different of yours:

  • LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram - your posts and the comments under them, so kontiqo can publish and show reactions.
  • Canva - exactly the one design you select. Not your library.
  • Telegram - the messages you send to kontiqo.

That these differences appear before you connect, rather than in a legal text a few clicks away, is the actual point.
