What you can do from today
You are working on a post and need an image. Instead of opening Canva in another tab, designing there, downloading and uploading again, you now do it in one go:
1. Open Canva from inside the post 2. Design - or pick an existing design 3. Done, and the result sits in your post
This works for images, for videos and for multi-page PDF carousels that publish to LinkedIn as documents.
Why this is more than a saved click
The detour through downloading does not only cost time. It costs versions.
Anyone who has downloaded an image, uploaded it, then changed something in the text and adjusted the image again knows the folder full of files called "post-final-2-really-final". When the design stays connected to the post, that folder does not exist.
What happens to your Canva designs
kontiqo pulls exactly the one design you select from Canva - and nothing else. We do not see your Canva library, and we never see your Canva password: the connection runs through Canva's official process, where you grant access and can withdraw it at any time. What we store is the access token for that grant - and it is gone the moment you disconnect.
Why it took two attempts
The integration was finished on 31 July 2026. It becomes visible today, 1 September.
In between sat a review by Canva - and a rejection. The reason was mundane and entirely our own fault: the submitted application still listed our test system's address as the return target instead of the real one. We fixed it, resubmitted the next day, and verification arrived on 21 August.
We are writing this down because it is a useful warning for anyone submitting an application to a platform themselves: reviewers look closely at exactly the addresses you accidentally left in place after your last test.
