The cancellation button

Since 1 July 2022, a subscription taken out online must also be cancellable online. In kontiqo this is the button "Cancel contracts here".

As of today it ends your subscription itself when you are signed in and the case is clear-cut: you enter your name, contract and email address in the cancellation form, press "cancel now", and the subscription runs out at the end of the period you paid for. The confirmation with the end date arrives by email.

What "clear-cut" means

An ordinary cancellation at the next possible date is something the button can handle alone. If you cancel extraordinarily or for a specific date of your choice, a person looks at it - as they do if you own a company with a running company subscription, so it is clear which subscription you mean. You then get an immediate acknowledgement of receipt, and we confirm the exact end date as soon as it is settled.

No survey, no retention offer

We all know the pattern: "Before you go - what did you not like?", three pages and an offer at the end.

That is exactly the hurdle the law set out to remove. So the path through the cancellation button has neither a survey nor a retention offer. There is a field for your reason - for an ordinary cancellation you do not have to fill it in.

The versions of our terms

The second part is less conspicuous and matters more to business customers: every version of our terms and conditions is available at its own stable address, and its date is part of the version name.

When a new version appears, the old one stays reachable unchanged. So anyone who signed a contract since 13 August 2026 can read what applied at the time.

Why we are writing about this

Because both are things you only look for when you need them - and then they should be easy to find.
